Leo Taylor Winters

Boyd ~ Leo Taylor Winters, 86, went to be with our Lord Sunday, July 17, 2022 in Fort Worth.

Funeral is 2 PM Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Boyd with burial to follow at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 12-2 PM at the church.

Rev. Ricky Harrison will officiate. Pallbearers include Walker Winters, Gabe Gonzalez, Mikah Winters, Damian Gonzalez, Corbin Hays, Austin Ortego, Aaden Ortego, and Krissy Hays. Honorary pallbearers are Jamie Abraham, Keylee Winters, Kimma Winters, Dakota Hays, Karter Winters, Kolten Winters,  Kamden Winters, and Kasen Gonzalez.

Leo was born on September 5, 1935 to Billington Taylor and Florentine (Jugman) Winters in Freer. He was united in marriage to Faye Latham on October 2, 1954 in Markham. Leo retired from the United States Air Force. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Faye Winters; 2 brothers, Tommy and Carlton Winters.

Those left behind to cherish his memory 3 children, Cecil Winters of Boyd, Sue Garrett of Boyd, and Cindy Abraham and husband Andy of Boyd; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
