Leon "Jack" Jackson

April 28, 1937 — February 14, 2017

Decatur ~ Leon “Jack” Jackson, 79, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in Ft. Worth.

Graveside is 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 at Walters Cemetery in Walters, Oklahoma. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur, Texas.

Rev. Richard Stillwell will officiate.

Leon was born on April 28, 1937 to Cleo and Thelma (Ogle) Jackson in Walters, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Norma Hooper on September 24, 1985 in Ft. Worth. Leon retired after 32 years from Bell Helicopter as a Bonder. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chico. He loved Trotline fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years, Norma Jackson of Decatur; his sons, Bobby Jackson of Waco, Darrel Jackson of Arlington; his daughters, Teresa Fowler of Melburn, Oklahoma, Sandra Deathridge of Cooper, Texas; his step sons, Bruce Garrett of Houston, and Scott Garrett of Keller; his step daughter; Kerri Cox of Walnut Spring; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; his friends, Charroll Stockard of Chico, Charles and Sandy Gutherie of North Richland Hills;  numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
