Newark ~ Leonard V. Placker, Jr., 66, a registered nurse, went to be with our Lord Friday, November 2, 2012 in Aurora.
Memorial service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 14th at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
Rev. Carol West will officiate.
Leonard was born on December 8, 1945 to Leonard Sr. and Cleo (McBride) Placker in Rock Springs, Texas. He was a proud veteran during the Vietnam War and served in the United States Navy and the United States Army.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his partner, Ronny Earl McVay of Newark; his blue heeler, Blue; his lab, Sam; his niece, Nancy Carter of California; and a host of close friends.

My husband and I are so sorry for your loss.
My husband was one of the first people on the scene of the accident, but unfortunately there wasn't anything he could do.
