Leonard Drew Ratliff

Boyd ~ Leonard Drew Ratliff, 91, lifetime resident of Boyd and a retired Farmer and Rancher, went to be with our Lord Friday, July 6, 2018 in Boyd.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Roland Davies and Rev. J.D. Allen will officiate. Pallbearers include Derrick Ratliff, Logan Ratliff, Austin Ratliff, Michael Pipes, Kevin Johnson and Chris Stratton.

Leonard was born on February 21, 1927 to Lawrence and Myrle (Harris) Ratliff in Boyd, Texas. He was united in marriage to Margie Stone on December 30, 1945 in Decatur. Leonard was a retired Farmer/Rancher. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Boyd. Leonard proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy and a Mason in the Boyd Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margie Ratliff; his great-grandson, Hunter Pipes.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Judy Nivens and husband Bruce of Alvord; his sons, Wayne Ratliff and wife Karen of Boyd and Robert Ratliff and wife Linda of Boyd; his grandchildren, Kathy Pipes and husband Michael of Sarepta, Louisianna, Kristen Johnson and husband Kevin of Richardson, Derrick Ratliff and wife Cherise of College Station, Logan Ratliff and wife Kelly of Houston, Austin Ratliff and wife Tricia of College Station, Laura and Chris Stratton of Bossier City, Louisiana and Katie Speer of Austin; his 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
