CHICO -- Leroy Hand, 82, a retired welder, died Saturday, June 4, 2005, in Decatur. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Chico. Burial: Chico Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home. Mr. Hand was a U.S. Army Veteran proudly serving his country in WWII. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chico and the 1276 Combat Engineers Association. Survivors: Wife of 50 years, Patsy Hand of Chico; sons, Mickey Hand and wife, Lindee of Chico, Tim Hand and wife, Debbie of Decatur, Rusty Hand and wife, Gaile of Chico; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Bonnie Hand of Chico.
