Runaway Bay ~ Les Raley, 92, a retired landman, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church of Bridgeport with burial in Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Dr. Lucia McKee Kremzar will officiate. Pallbearers include Tom Raley, Tim Raley, Jim Nivens, Dustin Dobyn, Jimmy Meyers, Robbie Handlon and Fred Meyers.
Les was born on June 30, 1920 to Thomas and Emma (McDonald) Raley in Alvord. He was united in marriage to Mabeth Robertson on February 12, 1963 in Bridgeport and she preceded him in death. Les was a retired landman for Natural Gas Pipeline. He was a Mason for 65 years with the Borger Masonic Lodge.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sisters, Jane Nivens of Alvord and Marge Raley of Bowie, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
