Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, August 29th at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home with Reverend Ken Rogers officiating. Interment will follow service at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Lester was born on March 15, 1950 in Dallas, Texas to Gordon and Juanita (Shaw) Harrison. He married Linda McDaniel on February 17, 1979 in Dallas, Texas. Lester had been employed by Minyard Food Store for 34 years as a truck driver.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Linda Harrison of Decatur; daughter, Stacie Baird and husband, Brian of Decatur; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Tristan and Jocelyn Baird; four brothers, Chester, Wayne, Lee and Dutch Harrison; sister, Betty Lones; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Lester is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Guy Harrison.
