Decatur: Leticia Lara, 33, went to be with our Lord Thursday, December 31, 2009 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Sunday, January 3rd at First Baptist Church of Decatur with burial following in Oaklawn Cemetery. Pastor Juan Rodas and Reverend Manuel Salinas will officiate at the service. Pastor Elogio Puebla will officiate at the graveside. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Carlos Casias, Fernando Cantu, Ivan Fraga, Roberto Costabella, Joe Ramirez, and Manuel Talamantes.
Born March 6, 1976 to Eliazar and Leonarda DeLuna Torres in Decatur. Leticia married Nelson Lara on August 15, 1998 in Decatur. She was a registered dental assistant and was employed by UTMB state jails in Bridgeport and Jacksboro. Leticia was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista Church.
Left behind to cherish her memory are husband, Nelson Lara of Decatur; son, Marc and Jacob Lara; daughter, Alina Lara all of Decatur; parents, Eliazar and Nona Torres of Decatur; parents-in-law, Marco and Elsa Hernandez of Fort Worth; sisters, Patty Casias and husband, Carlos, Cristina Cantu and husband Fernando, Maribel Torres, Liliana Torres, Aracely Fraga and husband, Ivan all of Decatur; sisters-in-law, Veronica Luna and Celia Hernandez of Fort Worth; brothers, Alberto Torres and wife, Avelia and Eliazar Torres, Jr. both of Sanger; grandfather, Encarnacion Torres; grandmother, Juana Vega; nine nieces and five nephews.
