Decatur ~ Lila Leilani Vaughan, 79, went to be with our Lord Saturday, April 3, 2021.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Victory Family Church in Decatur with burial at Sanger Cemetery. Open visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Pastor Allen Bates will officiate.
Lila was born April 30, 1941 to Robert Charles and Lila Arlene (Luther) Cook in Chadron, Nebraska. She was united in marriage August 25, 1961 to Norman Dean Vaughan Sr. in Denver, Colorado. Lila was a retired bookkeeper for a financial company, and she was a member of Victory Family Church. Lila was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Vaughan Sr.; her mother Lila and husband Glenn Andersen; her father, Robert Cook, and several brothers and sisters.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Katy Metcalfe and husband Chris of Hartford, Kansas, and Donna Lavigne and husband George of Paradise her sons, John Vaughan and wife Laurie of Howe, Norm Vaughan and wife Tracy of Newark, Caleb Vaughan of Alvarado, and Gabe Vaughan and wife Jennifer of Decatur; her 17 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Bob Cook, Jule Andersen, and Lee Andersen; her sisters, Penny Torske, Kathy Smith, Yvonne Keys, and Julie Barran; extended family members and a host of friends.
