Lillian (Beard) Harris

Boyd- Lillian Pearl Harris, 86, went to be with our Lord February 4, 2023.

Funeral service is 10:00 a.m.  Friday at First Baptist Church in Boyd. Burial is 3:00 p.m. at Pecan Wells Cemetery in Hamilton, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Randy Beggs will officiate the funeral service, Mac McVey will officiate the graveside service. Pallbearers are Bobby Warren, Brady McDaniel, Craig Harris, Joe Ruhnke, Blake McDaniel and James Taylor.

Lillian was born February 7, 1936 in Fort Spunky, Texas to Truman and Bessie (Morrow) Beard. She was united in marriage to Joseph Harris September 3, 1991 in Lake Worth, Texas. She graduated from Paschal High School and attended UNT College, then found her calling in the Insurance industry where she would retire after many years as an agent. Lillian was a member of the Church of Christ, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Truman and Bessie Beard; a son, David Wheeler; and sister Betty Higginbottom.

Those left behind to cherish her loving memory are her husband of  31 years, Joseph Harris of Boyd; her children, Ray Wheeler and wife Malinda,Carol Warren and her husband Bobby; her brother Wesley Beard ; her stepchildren, Craig Harris and wife Shea, Kim Lokey and her husband Jeremy; her grandchildren, Crimsen Hanson and husband Ryan, Joe Ruhnke and wife Emily, Vanessa Wheeler, Brady McDaniel and wife Micah,  Kassie Taylor and husband James, Elizabeth Harris, Katherine Harris, Abby Wheeler and Dameon Wheeler; her great – grandchildren, Blake, Lindsay, Maddie, Cameron, Dylan, Dennon, Mikey and Julia; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
