Lillie Isabell (Romines) Ransom

October 30, 1929 — September 23, 2015

Decatur ~ Lillie Isabell Ransom, 85, a homemaker went to be with our Lord Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in Decatur.

Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Bethel cemetery in Decatur.  Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Rev. Phillip Weitner will officiate. Pallbearers include Bart Romines, Cody Romines, Charles Romines, Glenn Romines, Alvin Taylor, and Weldon Taylor.

Lillie was born on October 30, 1929 to Luther and Mary (Richardson) Romines in Montague, Texas. She was united in marriage to John Alvin Ransom on February 26, 1949 in Decatur.  Lillie was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Ransom; her daughter, Beverly Bishop; her brothers, James Romines and Douglas Romines; her sisters, Mildred Faulkner and Edith Taylor.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jerry Ransom of Decatur; her daughters, Dorothy Etter of Villa Park, California, and Janet Raska of Wichita Falls; her brothers, Jack Watson of Runaway Bay, and Joe Watson of Alvord; her sister, Sue Caraway of Boyd; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
