Lillie C. (Taylor) Sherman

Decatur ~ Lillie C. Sherman, 91, went to be with our Lord Monday, July 5, 2021 in Bridgeport, Texas.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Lillie was born March 16, 1930 to Grover E. and Ida M. (Jones) Taylor in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage May 11, 1946 to Floyd L. Sherman in Decatur, Texas. Lillie was a retired cook after many years working for nursing homes. She was a beloved grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister-in-law, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Ida Taylor; her husband, Floyd L. Sherman; her son, Roger Dale Sherman; 11 brothers and sisters.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her granddaughter, Venus Sherman of Decatur; 3 great-granddaughters, Marisa Sherman, Keishawn Edwards, and KiAirra Felder; 3 great-great-grandsons, Kaidan, Jaden, and Kano; numerous extended family and a host of friends; Best friend and sister-in-law, Ola Taylor.
