Lilly Louise Toten, 92, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, May 7, 2011 in Decatur.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 10th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Chapel with Rev. Louis Horton officiating. Interment: Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Scott Jackson, Craig Jackson, Greg Hutchins, Steve Foster, Parker Clark, and Philip Fortenberry. Honorary Pallbearers include Bob and Ray Blackburn.
Louise was born December 25, 1918 in Rhome, Texas to Alford William and Lou Emma (Taylor) Berg. She married Dexter Toten on April 11, 1939. Louise was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 35 years.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Wanda Foster and husband Glen of Decatur; three grandchildren, Craig Jackson and wife Diana of Decatur, Toni Hutchins and husband Greg of Cross Plains, Texas and Steve Foster and wife Diana of Saginaw; six great grandchildren, Marsha Keating, Philip Fortenberry, Aleisha Clark, Scott Jackson, Paige Foster and Blake Foster; five great, great granddaughters; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Carolyn Pewitt; her granddaughter, Penny Jackson; and her son-in-law, Teddy Jackson; and six brothers.
