CHICO -- Linda J. Carter, 60, a homemaker, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007 in Chico.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: Chico Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday. Officiating: Rev. Eddie "Bo" Johnson. Pallbearers: Wally Collins, Richard Monk, Charlie Gamble, Bridger Peck, Jack Keller, Derek Berg, Kelsey Berg, and Clay Martin.
Linda was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of William Allen Parker, Sr. and Alice Imogene (McClellan) Parker.
Linda married Robert L. Carter on June 1, 1964 in Wichita falls, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Weldon Kelsey, and her step-father, Bobby Kelsey
Survivors: husband, Bob Carter of Chico; daughter, Evette Sampson and husband Gary of Chico; son, Allen Carter and wife Lorie of Chico; 4 grandchildren, Blake, Skylar, Carra, and Torie; sister, Renee Berg of Chico; brother, Bill Parker of Chico; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
