Fort Worth~ Linda Carol Cook, 82, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in Fort Worth.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at The First Baptist Church in Paradise with burial in Cottondale Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Bro. Ray Cook, Jr. will officiate. Pallbearers are to include Sha Clayton, Shawn Clayton, Blake Vinson, Trey Cook, Jacob Jennings, Bud Vinson. Honorary Pallbearers are to include Sam Clayton, Clayton Taylor, Levi Clayton, Danny Taylor, and Hal Gooch.
Linda was born on October 10, 1939 to Raymond and Hazel (Hooton) Wood in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her children, and took pride in caring for her family and home. Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paradise. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Sam H. Cook on January 5, 1956 in Marietta, Oklahoma and they spent 65 wonderful years together. Later in life, she adored spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren, following them with school events and activities, anything to offer support along the way. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Dortha Wood; and her husband, Sam H. Cook.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melinda Henry of Paradise; her son, Sam Cook, Jr. and wife Patty of Bridgeport; her daughter, Cheryl Vinson and husband Bud of Ft. Worth; her grandchildren, Shawn Clayton and wife Erin, Sha Clayton and wife Shyanne, DeAnn Taylor and husband Danny, Jacob Jennings and wife Jennifer, Katie Gooch and husband Hal, Trey Cook, Blake Vinson, Brittany Vinson, and Brianna Vinson; her great-grandchildren, Courtney, Clayton, Sam, Olivia, Amelia, Levi, Lexi, Karter, Kinson, Rylann and Foster; her great-great-grandchildren, Tatum, Taylor and Tenlee; her sisters, Pat Leeper of Point Blank, Texas, and Elaine Harvey of Kingwood, Texas; her brother, Bill Beaupre of Euless; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and a host of friends.
