Linda Whiddon

Linda Whiddon, 81, of Decatur left this earth Thursday, March 27th, 2025 in Azle, Texas.

Celebration of Life is 5-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 at Hawkins Funeral Home.

Linda was born March 14th, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Preston and Marie (Van Hees) Comeaux. Linda received her Bachelor’s Degree from L.S.U. and Master’s Degree from T.W.U. She dedicated several decades to education at Decatur ISD, serving as both a teacher and administrator. After retiring, she continued her passion by mentoring teachers and volunteering with numerous local organizations. Linda spent many years in the Education Industry before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Marie Comeaux.

Those who will forever cherish her memory include her daughter, Christi Perkins and husband Shane of Decatur; her granddaughter, Chryslyn Perkins, and her fiancé, Jackson Robison; along with many beloved family members and friends.
