Lino Rodriguez Mares

Decatur: Lino Rodriguez Mares, 61, went to rest on Monday, May 11, 2009 in Decatur.

Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 15th at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home with Eladio Garcia officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow service at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Josue Mares, Elijio Mares, Ruben Carrillo, Victor Chavez, Alberto Mares, Eligio Ceballos.

Lino was born September 23, 1947, in Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico to Eligio and Andrea (Rodriguez) Mares. He was a mechanic at McMaster New Holland in Decatur. Lino married Ana Maria Luevano on July 18, 1973 in Decatur, Texas.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Ana Maria Mares of Decatur; two sons, Josue Mares and Elijio Mares and wife, Carmen both of Decatur; four daughters, Marysol Mares, Dora Trejo and husband, Jose, Jael Mares, and Diana Mares all of Decatur; five grandchildren, Lino Yraldo, Kayla, Jacob, Tatiana, Emma; five sisters, Soledad, Abigail, Obdulia, Ignagia and Leonor; three brothers, Manuel, Vicente and Uriel; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Lino is preceded in death by parents and son, Isidrio Mares.
