GRAHAM -- Lorene Carter, 86, a caregiver, went to be with her Lord Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, in Graham. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hilltop Assembly of God in Boyd, with burial in Azleland Memorial Park. Lorene was born Sept. 10, 1020 in Mexia, TX to the late Oscar and Gladys Parker Hughes. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Roy Carter and her twin sister, Florene Goree. Lorene was a member of the Hilltop Assembly of God in Boyd. Survivors: Daughter, Diana Guhl and husband, David of Graham; son, Jim Carter of Azle; granddaughters, Dedra Rupard and husband, Allen of Murphy, Darla Underwood of Graham and Renne' Underwood and Barry Unkart of Graham; great-grandsons, Aaron Slay and Brady Rupard; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
