Bridgeport ~ Lorene Cunnius Green, 97, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Thursday, October 8, 2015 in Bridgeport.
Graveside service is 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2015 at Thomas Cemetery in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 10-11:00 a.m. Monday prior to the service at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Rev. Gary Demmitt will officiate.
Lorene was born June 9, 1918 to James Tarleton and Mary Anna (Dement) Cunnius in Sycamore, Texas. She was united in marriage to Marion W. Shorty Green November, 22, 1938 in Wise County. Lorene and Shorty were married 65 years before his death on February 12, 2003. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church for more than 75 years.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Shorty Green; her son, Ronny Green; her brother, George Cunnius; her twin sister, Florene Green and sister, Willie Mae Foster.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Joy Palmer and husband George of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Stacie Fleming, Robin Riggs and husband Conard, Stephanie Matney and husband Dan, Shellie Pulliam and husband Lessley, Shannon Speyer and husband Tom; her great-grandchildren, Cameron, Brennan and Ryan Riggs, Jaeton and Jesse Williams, Brighton and Rangeley Grisel and Logan Speyer; her great-great-grandchildren, Paysley and Piper Riggs, and Kinsleigh Williams; extended family, Linda Palmer, Brenda Gibson, Marc Matney and Afton Watkins; numerous nieces, nephews other family members and a host of friends.
