Lossie Larue Langford (Jordan) Whitehead

Lossie Larue Langford Whitehead, 98, of Decatur passed away Friday, September 6th, 2024.

Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11th, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur with burial at Aurora Cemetery.

Lossie was born December 20th, 1925 to Jay T. and Flora (Witte) Jordan in Post, Texas. She was united in marriage December 22nd, 1962 to Johnie Langford in Gober, Texas, later marrying James Whitehead. Lossie was a retired Bookkeeper after many years in the Sales Industry. She was a member of the Aurora Baptist Church. Lossie was a beloved sister, aunt and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay  Jordan and Flora Haney; her 1st husband, Johnie Langford, and 2nd husband, James Whitehead; her sisters, Virginia Ward and Rita Black; her brothers, Earl Haney, Roy Haney, and Elmer Haney.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Nell Fernandez of Rhome; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
