Decatur ~ Lou Ann Cross Cate, 70, went to be with our Lord Saturday, November 26, 2016 in Decatur.
Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Grace Baptist Church with burial in Thurmond-Fairview Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Hawkins Funeral Home Decatur.
Dr. Van Gardner and Dr. Bill Hughes will officiate. Pallbearers include Randy Cross, David Cross, Brent Cross, Junior Boyd, Jose Zuniga, Johnny Zuniga, Juan Calderon, Ramon Saavedra and Robert Gonzales.
Lou Ann was born on July 14, 1946 to Hoyt Parker Cross and Eva Lou (Boydston) Cross in Decatur, Texas. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Wayne Cate on May 13, 1967 in Decatur. Lou Ann worked at McDonalds as a cashier for 33 years. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Pat Fennell; her brothers, Bob, Bud, and Sonny Cross.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Gina Zuniga of Slidell; her grandsons, Jose and Austin Zuniga of Slidell; her granddaughter, Cate Zuniga of Slidell; her son-in-law, Johnny Zuniga; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
