RUNAWAY BAY -- Lovdia Sides, 90, a homemaker, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007 in Bridgeport.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2007 at Runaway Bay Community Church, with Rev. Dr. Christy Thomas officiating. Burial: Eternal Oaks Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Austin Sides, Ryan Sides, Brian Sides, Hunter Sides, Drake Sides, Baine Rydin.
Lovdia was born Sept. 7, 1916 in Hollis, OK to Edward and Amy Sypert Thompson. She married John Austin Sides Aug. 24, 1936 in Dallas. They were united 66 years until his passing in 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Will Merchant; and 8 siblings, Sypert, Bill, Buck, and Pete Thompson and Ruth Wood, Amy Rackley, Rachel Haydon and April Royal. Lovdia lived in the Runaway Bay Community since 1975 and was a member of Runaway Bay Community Church.
Survivors: Sons, Ron Sides and wife Martha of Krum and Ken Sides and wife Linda of Bridgeport; daughter, Tanya Harrison of Sasche; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Eddy Thompson of Bryan.
