RHOME -- Lucy M. Baker, 88, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 30 in Decatur, Texas.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Aurora Cemetery in Rhome. Bro. Bobby Andrew Norman to officiate. Honorary pallbearers: Vearl Wolverton, Corbett Jennings, Curtis Jennings, Bryson Jennings, Hunter Jennings, Joe Walter Baker and Jimmy Baker.
Lucy was born October 11, 1921 to James and Oma (Lewis) Sparks in Rhome, Texas. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Lee Baker and 2 sisters, Pauline Ford and Mabel Ramsey.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Joe Baker, Jr. and his wife Marilyn of North Richland Hills; 2 daughters, Sandra Jennings and her husband Doyle of Rhome, Anita Sue Baker of Rhome; 6 grandchildren, Vearl, Amy, Corbett, Curtis, Joe Walter and James; 12 great grandchildren; her brother, James Embry Sparks of Fort Worth; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
