Lucy was born February 20, 1916 to Samuel C. and Lou E. (Madden) Mann near the farming community of Sycamore in Wise County, Texas. As a teenager, her family moved to Decatur where she graduated from Decatur High School and was a member of the former Fundamental Baptist Church. In 1938, she moved to Kamay, Texas where she worked as a cafe' cook and in 1965 she moved to Burkburnett, where she worked as a seamstress until her retirement in 1981. Her hobbies were reading and needlework. Lucy is the last of her generation of the S.C. Mann Family.
Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, son, Billy D. Combs, two brothers and one sister.
Left behind to cherish her memory are grandson, Bill Combs of Burkburnett; granddaughter, Kathy Combs of Ryan, Oklahoma; seven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
