Luis Armando Maldonado

Decatur ~ Luis Armando Maldonado, 57, went to be with our Lord Friday, January 14, 2022.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Luis was born July 29, 1964 to Mario and Maria Del Refugio (Melendez) Maldonado in Chihuahua, Mexico. He was united in marriage to Hortencia Castaneda. Luis was a self-employed carpet installer in the construction industry for many years. He was a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mario Maldonado; a brother, and a sister.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Hortencia Castaneda of Decatur; his daughter, Angelica Maldonado and husband Everardo Ruiz of Decatur; his son, Luis Maldonado and wife Yuriana of Austin; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Gamboa, Carlos Gamboa, and Alondra Gamboa; 6 brothers and sisters; his mother, Maria Del Refugio Melendez; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
