Bridgeport ~ Lula Mae Campbell, 85, a retired house mother and seamstress, went to be with our Lord Saturday, May 3, 2014 in Springtown.
Graveside service is 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Gary Sessions will officiate.
Lula was born on April 25, 1929 to Tom and Sarah (Smith) White in Davis, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to John Earl Campbell on May 29, 1948 in Weatherford. Lula was a retired house mother for Denton State School. She was a talented seamstress and owned and operated Lue’s Cleaners.
Lula was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 60 years, John Earl Campbell; her son, Tommy Ray Campbell; her brother, Clyde White; and her sisters, Juanita Henson and Mary Vanhoose.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Larry Campbell and wife Lecia of Springtown; her daughter, Linda Motley and husband Travis of Midlothian; her grandchildren, Cynthia Threadgill, Meloney Campbell, Kevin and Stewart Motley, Brian Campbell, John Ryals and wife Denee, Heather Shields, Tee Latham and wife Melissa; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
