Bridgeport ~ Lynn Ray Saling, 72, a retired rancher, went to be with our Lord Saturday, August 20, 2011 at his home in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Rev. Bill Hughes will officiate. Pallbearers are Carl Abseck, Tommy Thompson, Randy Patterson, Rusty Perrin, Mike Patterson, and Buddy White. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Perrin, Kenny Lindsey, Colby McClung, and Randy Chambers.
Lynn was born on September 28, 1938 to Jay and Inez (Stone) Saling in Decatur. He married Helen Yvonne in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Lynn was retired from General Motors. He was a member of Boonsville Cowboy Church.
Lynn was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, on October 13, 2007; his parents; and three sisters, Virginia Patterson, Wilma White, and Sandra Stone.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his children, David Saling and wife Kim of Bridgeport, Rhonda Curry and husband Phillip of Mesquite, Larry Saling and wife Laura of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Lisa Garvin and husband Cliff of Bridgeport; nine grandchildren, Brandi, Alesha, Brittni, Crystal, Brooke, Ralph, Lane, Cassie, and Landon; four great grandchildren, Emily, Hunter, Davis, and Alexis; his sister, Billie Perrin and husband Frank; other relatives and a host of friends.

A special tribute to our dear brother-in-law (love). He was a very nice, gentle and caring person. He loved his family, wife, Yvonne, children David, Rhonda, Larry and Lisa as he would tell you. He also included his whole family as the family grew. Our prayers are with the family today as they celebrate the life of one great father (dad), husband, brother, uncle, grandad and great grandad.
