Mable Jackson

Funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday, August 8th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken May and Ray Cobb officiating. Interment: Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Calvin Jackson, Craig Jackson, Chuck Greever, Michael Fogle, Cooper Jackson, Andrew Greever, Tannor Jackson, Phillip Fortenberry, Andy Taylor, Barry Taylor, and Scott Jackson.

Mable was born August 27, 1919 in Gordon, Texas to Bert and Birdie Mae (Hall) Rosenburg. She was united in marriage to Loyd Jackson, Sr. on February 19, 1936 in Decatur. Mable was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Decatur.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her two son, Loyd Jackson, Jr. and wife Donna of Decatur and Dave Jackson and wife Elaine of Greenwood; 8 grandchildren, Carrie Greever and husband Chuck, Toni Hutchins and husband Greg, Craig Jackson and wife Diana, Calvin Jackson and wife Tiffany, Stephanie Jackson, Amy Fogle and husband Michael, Andy Taylor and wife Kim and Barry Taylor and wife Meghan; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loyd Jackson, Sr.; son, Teddy Jackson; one sister; and two brothers.
