Azle ~ Mack Woodruff, 84 , owner and operator of Mack's Garage in River Oaks, went to be with our Lord Thursday, January 26, 2012 in Azle.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Boyd with burial in Azleland Cemetery in Azle. Rev. Tony Edwards will officiate. Pallbearers are Jeremy Woodruff, Jed Woodruff, David Richards, Brad Geary, Clayton Woodruff and Cliffton Woodruff.
Mack was born on July 9, 1927 to Orby and Myrtle E. (Owens) Woodruff in Munday, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and the Merchant Marines. Mack married Janice Loree Newman on May 17, 1947 in Terrell Wells, Texas. She preceded him in death on November 15, 2002. Mack was a christian of the Baptist faith and was a proud and loving family man.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his sister, Fredna Mae Richards; his twin brothers, Buster and Mark Woodruff.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Roy Woodruff and wife Karen of Bowie, David Woodruff and wife Pat of Azle, Darrell Woodruff of Azle, Brant Woodruff and wife Shari of Azle and DeWayne Richards and wife Cathy of Azle; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
