Bridgeport: Mae Lucille Starnes, 84, of Rhome went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 8, 2008, in Bridgeport.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Wednesday in Fairview Cemetery with Sonny Smith officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Lucille was born October 18, 1924, in Decatur to James Earl and Florence Shelburn O'Neal. She married Wilburn Cecil Starnes on December 7, 1958, in Fort Worth. They were married 37 years until his passing in 1995.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Janet Erwin and Kenneth Wood of Santa Fe and Brenda Starnes Rowe of Paradise; son, Roger Dale Starnes of Rhome; grandchildren, Jennifer Reynolds and husband, Gardner, Stephanie O'Neal, Ryan Erwin and fiancee, Vanessa Gonzalez, Lance Erwin and wife, Holly, Matthew and Michael Rowe and Amanda Wood; great-granchildren, Landry, Dane and Maddox; sister, Ann Lloyd; brother, Billy O'Neal; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
