Bridgeport ~ Magdalena Maria Cruz, 60, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, May 5, 2020 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Mexican Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Deacon Art Casias will officiate. Pallbearers include Jose Cruz, George Cruz, Adriean Fennell, Dustin Thomas, Brandon Lowery and Tong Phalivong.
Magdalena was born on July 22, 1959 to Aristeo and Maria Delfina (Hernandez) Pedrasa in Tanlu MPIO De Santa Cantarina Mexico. She was united in marriage to Hilario Cruz on February 16, 1975 in Mexico. Magdalena was homemaker for her family, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her 2 infant daughters, and 1 infant son.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years, Hilario Cruz of Bridgeport; her children, Jose Cruz, Reyna Fennell, George Cruz, and Lisa Cruz all of Bridgeport; 5 grandchildren, Adriean, Benjamin, Efrain, Blaise, and Byancah; 4 sisters; 1 brother; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

El funeral es a las 2:00 p.m. del viernes 8 de mayo de 2020 en la Capilla de la Funeraria Hawkins con entierro en el Cementerio Mexicano. La familia recibirá amigos de 6 a 8 p.m. el jueves en la funeraria Hawkins en Bridgeport.
El diácono Art Casias oficiará.
Sra. Magdalena nació el 22 de julio de 1959 en Tanlu MPIO De Santa Cantarina México. Se unió en matrimonio con Sr. Hilario Cruz el 16 de febrero de 1975 en México. Sra. Magdalena era ama de casa de su familia, una amada esposa, madre, abuela, hermana, tía y amiga.
Fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres; sus 2 hijas pequeñas, y 1 hijo pequeño.
Los que quedan atrás para apreciar su memoria son su esposo de 45 años, Hilario Cruz de Bridgeport; sus hijos, José Cruz, Reyna Fennell, George Cruz y Lisa Cruz todos de Bridgeport; 5 nietos, Adriean, Benjamín, Efraín, Blaise, and Byancah ; 4 hermanas; 1 hermano; numerosas sobrinas, sobrinos, primos y una serie de amigos.
