Alvord: Malcolm "Mike" Hardy, 68, a retired salesman, went to be with our Lord Friday, November 12, 2010 in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Alvord Assembly of God Church with burial in Hardy Cemetery in Forestburg.

Reverend Bob Wilson and Reverend Glen Randall to officiate. His sons will serve as pallbearers.

Mike was born February 19, 1942 to Malcolm and Marie (Curtis) Hardy in Detroit, Michigan. He married Nita Jean Hines on November 27, 2002 in Boyd. Mike served as past president of Alvord Chamber of Commerce and was a member of Perry Branch Community Church.

He was preceded in death by his father; his son, Matthew Stephen Hardy; and his brother, Thomas Hardy. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Nita Hardy of Alvord; 7 sons, Malcolm A. Hardy III of Alvord, Mark Paul Hardy and wife Sandy of Arlington, Michael Thomas Hardy and wife Gina Ellen of Arlington, Marshall John Hardy of Arlington, Stephen William Hardy of Arlington, Justin Gary Hardy and wife Brandi of Monahans, Brandon Samuel Hardy of Sunset; 2 daughters, Michelle Ann Hardy Trachier and husband John of Fort Worth, Bridget Jorgenson of Mansfield; his mother, Marie Hardy of Powhatan, Virginia; 2 step children, Christie Lambert and husband Marcus of Bridgeport, Lloyd Monroe of Seminole, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Laura Marie Goode of Midlothian, Virginia, Sarah Ellen Lockamy of Rougemont, North Carolina; his brother, Michael Glenn Hardy of Mentor, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
