Decatur ~ Manuel S. “Manny” Moran, 75, United States Air force Non Commission Officer, Patriot and devoted family man passed peacefully from this earth on June 18, 2017

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Deacon Simon Torres will officiate.

Manny was born August 6, 1941 in Waco, Texas. He dedicated 20 years and 8 months in the United States Air Force of his life serving his country. Manny also served one year in the Army National Guard. Six months of that year he was Active Duty. He was the recipient of numerous military Awards and decorations including three Air Force Commendations Medals. Manny retired from the Air Force as a T/SGT on August 1981. Manny retired from the Internal Revenue Service on July 1998 as Management Analyst GS 11. With Military years and Civil Service years he retired with 37 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David Moran; his wife, Anita Moran.

He is survived by his daughters, Monica Brown and husband George of Decatur, Teresa Schultz and husband Roger of Plano; his grandchildren, Sydney, and Dillan Brown, Caitlin, and Carly Schultz; his sister, Mary Lou Lopez of Waco; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
