Margaret Nell Bean

June 29, 1944 — July 19, 2016

Bridgeport ~ Margaret Nell Bean, 72, an “angel unaware” went to be with our Lord Sunday, July 17, 2016 in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service.

Dr. Craig Erb will officiate.

Margaret was born on June 29, 1944 to John Roy and Jennie (Brock) Bean at the “old” Bridgeport Hospital and transferred to the “All Saints” Hospital in Fort Worth. After months of care, her family brought her back home in Bridgeport where she lived the rest of her life. Margaret attended Bridgeport schools and became a Christian and baptized at the First Baptist Church where she and her family were faithful members. After the loss of her mother, her father and Margaret moved to Park Haven Care Center. A bus from First Baptist Church brought them to Sunday school and church and they enjoyed the trip to McDonalds for lunch after the service. Margaret loved her Sunday school teachers. The first was “MeMe” Meek and then Methel’s daughter, Norma Funk was her last teacher. Margaret loved the programs of Senior Care Center; especially the gospel and country songs. She liked to sing with them; especially “You Are My Sunshine”. She truly was “Sunshine” to all who knew her.

Margaret loved her family, her roommates, and all the caregivers at Senior Care Center, especially Michelle who was so kind and loving to her. When Solaris Hospice was called in, Margaret had excellent care and her family is so appreciative to them for keeping her from pain.

Margaret had her sweet smile to the end and I am sure our Lord sent a “special” angel to take her to heaven to be with her grandparents, Eula and Otis Bean; her parents, Roy and Jennie Bean; her sister, Mary Lee (Bean) Burdine; all of her aunts and uncles; her brother-in-laws, John Boldin, Leonard Brown, and Nolan Williams.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her half-sisters, Eula Sue Boldin of Grand Prairie and Betty Williams of Watercrest at Mansfield; her niece, Sherry Mitchell; her nephew, Timmy Burdine; other cousins and many friends.

We look forward to seeing you again!
