Decatur: Margaret Ann Birchfield, 70, went to be with our Lord, Friday, April 15, 2011 in Denton.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 18th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home with Reverend David Isabell officiating. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday.
Margaret was born January 5, 1941 in Edna, Kansas to Orval C. and Mary Ellen (Bendure) Martin. She married James Douglas Birchfield in 1967. Margaret retired as an office administrator for Austin Power Energy.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband; son, David Birchfield; brother, Larry Martin and sister, Shirley Ungles.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two daughters, Charlotte Puga and husband, Jose of Houston and Sarah Jane Rodriguez of Ponder; two granddaughters, Gwen Stevens and Tiffany Rodrigues; three grandsons, Craig Rodriguez, Francisco and Alex Gaytan; great granddaughter, Jordan Richards; three sisters, Cherry Forkner, Pat Uhrich, and Virginia Ness; three special friends, Phyllis and Gale Harden and Lucy Arnt.
