Saginaw ~ Margaret Aleene Knowles, 94, a homemaker went to be with our Lord and her husband Herman Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at her home in Saginaw.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Church of Christ in Saginaw with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth. Family will receive friends Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at Calvario Funeral Home in Fort Worth.
Duane Jenks will officiate. Pallbearers include Ben Knowles, Chase Jones, Richard Spraggen, Gary Spraggen, Chuck Knowles, Colton Knowles and Joshia Knowles.
Aleene was born February 20, 1919 in Hunt County to William Hansford and Lucy Netta Pippin. She was a long time resident of Saginaw and a member of the Church of Christ. Aleene and her husband Herman raised their children and were business owners in Saginaw for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband Herman and her granddaughter, Julie Spraggens.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Bill Knowles and wife Kaye of Saginaw and Herschel Knowles and wife Joy of Ft. Worth; her daughters, Donna Spraggens and husband Richard of Saginaw and Jean Reeves and husband Paul of Azle; her 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; her sister, Lona Mae Elkins of Saginaw; other family members and a host of friends.
