Bridgeport: Margaret Elanor Sayles, 82, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Monday, January 24, 2011 in Wichita Falls.

Funeral is 10 AM Friday at First Baptist Church in Bridgeport with burial in Thomas Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home.

Dr. David Burrows will officiate. Pallbearers are Leslie Sayles, Wesley Sayles, Kevin Chain, Dirk Fulkerson, Shane Barrow, Jody Barrow and Michael Thorpe.

Margaret was born April 26, 1928 to William and Dura (Wright) Garvin in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She married Alvie Delmer Sayles on May 18, 1946 in Childress, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, Alvie Delmer Sayles; her son, Randy Sayles; her brothers, Clarence Garvin, Alonzo Garvin, Cecil Garvin and Lloyd Garvin; and her sisters, Mae Garvin and Melba Dee Baze.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Mike Sayles of Glen Rose, Larry Sayles and wife Linda of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jeffrey Sayles and wife Cindy Webb of Decatur; her daughters, Susan Chain and husband John of Birmingham, Alabama, Janet Barrow and husband Gary of Weatherford, Gina Berry and husband Vince of Bridgeport and Christina Thorpe and husband Brad of Glen Rose; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.

She will be greatly missed. She reminded me of my own Granny who passed away back in 1995. I will miss her greatly even though I knew her for just a brief time. God rest your soul. Rest in Peace.
