Margaret Peggy (Pappert) Wertz

Margaret "Peggy" Wertz of Alvord, Texas a loving wife, devoted mother, beloved sister, and cherished friend, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in Decatur.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2015 at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Alvord with burial in Jonestown Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Dr. Kevin Moore will officiate. Pallbearers include David Solensky, Greg Solensky, Mark Solensky, Darron Solensky, Mike Gunderson, and Richard Pappert. Hononary pallbearers are Louis Martinez and Bill Elliott.
Peggy was born on August 6, 1940 to Richard and Margaret (Burkhart) Pappert in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was united in marriage to Merle Wertz on October, 20, 1978 in Butler, Pennsylvania. Peggy was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Alvord.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 36 years, Merle Wertz of Alvord; her sons, David Solensky and wife Jeannie of Pace, Florida, Greg Solensky of Golden, Colorada, and Mark Solensky and wife Kim of Butler, Pennsylvania; her daughters, MaryBeth Gunderson and husband Michael of Grand Prairie, and Elaine Martinez and husband Louis of Brunswick, Georgia; her brother, “Dickie” Richard Pappert and wife Cathie of Richmond, Virginia; her sisters, Jan Gralish of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Sharon Katchmar and husband Darwin of Glenshaw, Pennsylvania; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
