Maria was born September 18, 1956 in Monahans, Texas to Octabio F. and Tomasa Acosta Torres. She married Raul Carrasco in 1998 in Lubbock, Texas.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 11 years, Raul Carrasco of Decatur; son, Jose Miguel Sandoval of Decatur; numerous cousins; and a host of friends.
