Bridgeport ~ Maria Nohemi De Luna, 63, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Saint John the Baptizer Catholic Church in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport with rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Rev. Thomas Dsousa will officiate. Pallbearers include Jesus De Luna Jr., Ricky Hughes, Andy Moujouros, Jorge Lopez, Nacho Apolinar, Al Ortiz, Alex De Luna, and Kostandino Moujouros.
Maria was born on June 15, 1953 to Francisco and Maria De Jesus (Gonzales) Galvan in Allende, Mexico. She was united in marriage to Jesus De Luna on December 28, 1973 in Allende, Mexico. Maria worked for the Bridgeport Independent School District for 30 years. She was a member of Saint John the Baptizer Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Jesus De Luna.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jesus De Luna Jr. and wife Diana of Bridgeport; her daughters, Diana Moujouros and husband Andy of Elmhurst, Illinois, Susie Hughes and husband Ricky of Abilene; her grandchildren, Alex De Luna, Valerie De Luna, Leonardo De Luna, Kostandino Moujouros, Viviana Moujouros, Sophia Hughes, and Jesus Hughes; other family members and a host of friends.
