Maria Luisa (Luna) Hazel

Maria Luisa Hazel, 73, went to be with our Lord Saturday, October 5th, 2024.

Celebratory of Life will be Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 2 pm at Ascension & St Mark Anglican Church.

Maria was born January 17th, 1951, to Miguel Luna and Maria Trevino in San Benito, Texas.

She was united in marriage June 30th, 2012 to Arthur Hazel in Decatur, Texas. Maria was a retired secretary having been in auto sales for many years. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Hazel; and a granddaughter, Clarissa Martinez.

Those left to cherish her memory are her 3 daughters, Mary Jane Clark and husband Robert of San Antonio, Valerie De La Cruz Perez and spouse Esmeralda of Little Elm, and Christina L. Madrid and husband Mark of Burleson; 7 grandchildren, Aiyana Martinez, Aaron Clark, Robert Rivas, Jacob Rivas, Ciara Rivas, Marissa Huerta, and Makaila Madrid; 3 great-grandchildren, Adrian Huerta, Gabriel Huerta, and Isabella Rivas; a brother, Miguel Luna, Jr.; a sister, Inez Prado; extended family, church family and a host of friends.
