Houston: Marian Rochelle Tuckness, 77, formerly of Decatur, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in Houston.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Saturday, January 5th in New Hope Cemetery in Gainesville, Texas, with Rev. Danny Baker officiating. Family will receive friends 11-12 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur prior to the graveside.
Marian was born August 27, 1935 in Fort Worth to Lester and Mattie (Norman) Cobb. She was united in marriage to Danny Gene Tuckness on August 15, 1953 at Handley Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Upon his death in 1996, Marian moved to Houston to be closer to her family. Marian loved being with her family and she loved playing the piano.
Left behind to cherish her memory are 3 sons, Danny Gene Tuckness, Jr. and close friend, Patricia Chalela of Houston, David Lee Tuckness and wife Melissa of Poolville, and Donald Ray Tuckness and wife DeLisa of Whitesboro; 7 grandchildren, Katherine, Hannah, Thomas, Danielle, Callie, Andrea and Aubrie; brother, Michael Ray Cobb; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
