Marion Lorene Johnston

Bridgeport ~ Marion Lorene Johnston, 83, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, March 12, 2024 in Decatur.

Funeral Service is 1:00 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport with burial at West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Brother Fred Raney will officiate.

Marion was born on March 2, 1941 to Clarence Claude and Dorothy (Dillard) Keith in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was united in marriage to Buddy Charles Johnston on May 9, 1959 in Odessa and they were together for 49 beautiful years before his passing in 2008. Marion was a beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many that will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Dorothy Keith; her siblings, Sonny Keith, Darrell Keith, and Carolyn Keith.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Keith Dewayne Johnston of Bridgeport; her daughter, Kelly Johnston Pena and husband Noe of Houston; 3 grandchildren, Jesse Johnston-Pena, Julisa Johnston-Pena, and Tala Marie Johnston; 2 great-grandchildren, Jasiah C. Pena-Estrada and Elena Delia Pena-Estrada; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
