Marjory Jo Raley

Alvord - Marjory Jo Raley, 94, of Alvord went to be with her Lord Saturday, February 22, 2025 in Bowie, Texas.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 28, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur with Rev. Fred Raney officiating. Burial to follow at Alvord Cemetery.

Marjory was born September 19, 1930 to Thomas Vernon and Emma Jane (McDonald) Raley in Alvord, Texas. She graduated from Alvord High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alvord.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Les, Vernon, and Burch Raley; and her sister, Jane Nivens.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her nephews, Tommy and Tim Raley, and Jim Nivens; nieces, Lynda Pierson, Gloria Edwards, Cathie Rosser, Lea Ann Capel, and Mary Kuykendall; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
