Woodlands ~ Mark Wade Bishop, 59, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral in Decatur. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pastor Brian Butler will officiate.

Mark was born January 25, 1962 to Bobby Joe and Katheryne (Hollingsworth) Bishop in Decatur, Texas. Mark was a graduate of Chico High School. He was united in marriage August 14, 1981 to Sherri Erwin in Chico, Texas. Mark worked in the oil & gas business for 40 years. He managed his own business where he became a leader in the automation industry. Mark was a beloved son, husband, father, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.F. Hollingsworth and wife Ozenia of Chico; his mother, Kathryn Bishop of Chico; and a sister-in-law, Terri Meador of Denton.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, of 40 years, Sherri Bishop; his daughter, Sierra Bishop, both of Conroe; his father, Bobby Bishop of Henrietta; 2 sisters, Paula Summers of College Station, and Carla Bishop of Henrietta; his father and mother-in-law Bill Jones, and Sherian Jones of Weatherford; brother-in-law, Greg Erwin and wife April of Arkansas City, Kansas; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
