Runaway Bay ~ Mark Garner, 49, an electrician, went to be with our Lord Sunday, July 28, 2019, in Jack County.
Memorial is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Christ Fellowship Church at Lake Bridgeport.
Rev. Todd Blair will officiate.
Mark was born June 17, 1970, to John Edgar and Lois (Brown) Garner in Leesburg, Virginia. He was a member of Christ Fellowship Church.
Mark enjoyed the simple things in life…watching the wildflowers bloom over the springtime, cooking for his family, calling his sister to just shoot the breeze or coming in from the heat of the day to have a Dr. Pepper with Mom. He loved everything about the Rangers – it didn’t matter if it was listening to them play while working on his ’66 Mustang with Morris, watching them on T.V. or sweltering in the hot, humid air at the Ranger Stadium. He was a talented dart player and enjoyed a good game of cricket. Mark had an immense love for animals, including his new cat “Cat” and even played with her after shoulder surgery. Above all, Mark loved our Lord Jesus Christ and his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Garner; and his brother, DuWayne Beets.
Those left behind to cherish his name are his mother, Lois Hoover and husband Morris of Runaway Bay; his sisters, Cyndi Garner and partner Kambi of Centennial, Colorado and Rebecca Chou and husband Shuo of Santa Monica, California;his step-mother, Merry Garner of Argyle; his brother, Jon David Beets of San Antonio; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
