Decatur ~ Mark Aaron Stevens, 34, went to be with our Lord Saturday, July 18, 2015 in Decatur.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Forestburg Baptist Church with burial in Perryman Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Coker-Hawkins funeral home.
Rev. Tom Merritt will officiate. Pallbearers include Dell Stevens, Ryan Eldridge, Marty Eldridge, Justin Archuleta, Zak Lyons, Mark Collins, and Christopher Dill.
Mark was born on September 1, 1980 to Richard Vernon and Linda (Eldridge) Stevens in Austin, Texas. Mark loved his family, friends and constant companions, Lady, Peko and Woo. He enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, kayaking, archery and the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewis and Ruth Eldridge of Forestburg and Richard and Jean Stevens of Austin; his uncle, Kent Dill of Gainesville.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother and father, Richard and Linda Stevens of Decatur; his sister, Lori Abbott of Decatur; his brother, Michael Stevens of Haltom City; his nieces and nephews, Michaela, Sophie, Noah, Jonah, Shade and Dell; his aunt, Sharon Dill of Gainesville; his Uncle, Butch Eldridge of Era; numerous cousins, and a host of friends.
