Bridgeport ~ Marlan Holley, 80, a retired plant manager, went to be with our Lord Friday, June 7, 2013 in Bridgeport.
Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Cottondale Cemetery. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Rev. Gary Sessions will officiate.
Marlan was born on January 1, 1933 to Sign and Ruby (Lawrence) Holley in Wise County. He was united in marriage to Sue Paschall on January 7, 1956 in Decatur. Marlan retired from Gifford Hill as plant manager. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sue Holley, and his brother, Lawrence Holley.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Susan Krenek of Wharton, Texas, Tracey Holley of Stephenville, Jamey Krebs of North Richland Hills; his son, Wesley Maynard of Bridgeport; 3 grandchildren, Betty, Holly and Conor; 2 great grandchildren, Jude and James; his sisters, Joyce Nall of Paradise, and Ruby Lunday of Fritch, Texas; other family members and a host of friends.
