Marlene was born on July 17, 1931 to Howard and Helen (Olson) Kelly in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Thomas W. Anderson on December 30, 1974 in Durant, Oklahoma. Marlene received her associates at Baylor School of Nursing in Dallas. She was a member of The Daughters of American Revolution, Umpqua Chapter in Roseburg, Oregon and a member of The Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 543 in Decatur. Marlene was a member of First United Methodist Church in Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Patrick McDaniel; her sister, Judy Pope.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Tom Anderson of Decatur; her brother, James Kelly and wife Vel of Mili Lani, Hawaii her daughter, Shawna McDaniel of W. Springfield, Massachusetts; her stepchildren, Diane Castillo and husband Bruce of Missouri City, Texas; Wayne Anderson and wife Lucy of Yorkville, Illinois, and Danna Perry and husband Scott of Laguna Niguel, California; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
