BRIDGEPORT -- Marshall F. Johnson, 92, the owner of Johnson Machine Works in Bridgeport and Ft. Worth went to be with our Lord Sunday, March 2, 2008 in Decatur.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Balsora Baptist Church. Officiating: Rev. Matt Norton and assisted by Rev. Robbie Wynn. Burial: Willow Point Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Paul Johnson, Jr., Brad Johnson, Tyler Olsen, Jason Peeler, Mike Hoselton, Shane Stegall, Steven Stegall, Andrew Ponder.
Memorials: Balsora Baptist Church or Willow Point Cemetery.
Marshall was born Sept. 4, 1915 in Amherst, Nebraska to Homer L. and Cecile Merrick Johnson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loien; wife, Marjorie; sons, Jim Bob Chivers and Kelly Stegall; sisters, Vivian Brown, Fern Divine, Velma Brander and Dorothy Carda and grandchildren, Kathleen Stegall and Jade Chivers. Marshall married Jackie Clayton Nov. 19, 1988 in Bridgeport. He was a member of Balsora Baptist Church.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife, Jackie Johnson of Bridgeport; sons, Marshall Johnson and wife, Velva of Colleyville, Darrel Johnson and wife, Shirley of Sierra Madra, CA and Paul Johnson and wife, Carol of Arlington; daughters, Donna Frary of New York, Vicki Leis and husband, Ron of Garden Plains, KS and Judy Keichlin and husband Kevin of Colorado Springs, CO; sons, Bill Chivers and wife, Jane of Grapevine, Tom Chivers and wife, Lorez of Carrollton and Jim Stegall and wife, Pat of Bridgeport; and daughter-in-laws, Beverly Stegall of Bridgeport and Glenda Chivers; 27 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren; brother, Ken Johnson of Chapel, NE and special niece, Louise Heinz of Oregon.
